Treatment: Teeth in a Day implants as a solution to ill fitting, loose dentures

Before Treatment

Mrs Jacobs smile was a worry and an embarrassment to her. Her teeth and gums were in a frail condition and she thought dentures were the only option available. Because of this, she kept putting off seeking treatment. However, in 2010 her teeth started affecting her every day life and so she went to a general practice and had six teeth removed and dentures fitted. This was a disaster and not only did the dentures effect Jill physically (the plate moved and she was unable to eat properly) but her confidence took a knock too. Jill consulted two dentists who both recommended Dr Michael Zybutz (a registered specialist periodontist) who specialises in Teeth in a Day, an implant treatment where you have implants fitted in just one day, instead of the usual six month period.

During & After Treatment

Jill had a consultation with Dr Michael Zybutz where impressions, dental guides and 3-D CAT scans were taken (so as to make an exact replica of the patients jaw, giving accurate implant placement). On the day of treatment Jill walked in with dentures and in the afternoon left with implants that act and look exactly like your natural teeth. Jill is very happy with her implants. Not only has she got her smile back, but her health has improved as she can now eat normally, consuming fruit and vegetables as she is able to chew and bite. Jill feels like her life has been taken off hold and her confidence is definitely back.

The implants have also helped with the physical balance of her jaw, massively improving her bite and she no longer grinds her teeth.
